Because of the pandemic, many of us have been introduced to real-time meetings for online classes. But WebEx is either invasive–peering into the homes of others. Or disembodied–a screen of names in blocks, voices floating over all. How about a neutral place to meet with bodies, chairs, movement and discussion? Interacting as a learning community in a virtual environment brings online students closer to the rich interaction they can receive face-to-face. This session will give you a glimpse into how conducting a real-time class in a 3D virtual environment works, with a sense of presence and a sense of place.
