Action Plans were due 10/31-please submit your if you haven’t already.

When we meet this week, we will discuss components of your plan that you submitted in the D2L Discussion. Please take a look over the submissions before we meet.

Class meets via Webex on 10/27 from 2-3pm JOIN ORT (Required) ( No entry ticket)

There will be one last exit ticket at the end of class–During the 9 weeks, we have examined Access, Inclusive Language, Culturally Responsive Teaching, Pedagogy of Care, Inclusive Pedagogy, Building Critical Community, and Authentic Assessments and Evaluations.  When we meet in Webex today, please be prepared to tell us one thing you’ll be doing in Spring 2023 regarding these topics.

 

Thankful  for the journey 

We would like to thank you all for starting this journey with us to deliberately and mindfully weave diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into our classrooms.  We have learned so much and we hope you have, too.

 Work still to do 

Second, no new information or material is being presented in these last two weeks.  It is time for you to reflect and craft your presentation while we are pouring over informal feedback we received from you (see below for official feedback survey) and our own notes we’ve taken over the last several weeks. As you know, each time through a course provides many “aha” moments.

 Endings are beginnings

Our work continues as we finish the class and ‘go out into the world’. Our goal is to create a community of learners and plan to reach out to you again to learn about your experiences as you move forward. Please feel free to contact us to say hello or share a thought.
